| SINGAPORE - Anton to Sofanisba |
 |
| Dearest Sofanisba — was sent out here to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to check out their collection and meet with some dealers. I was not offered a room here, but they did give me a V.I.P. tour including the sky park. We had drinks up there after our meeting and it was spectacular! Imagine the infinity pool up 200 metres! Have been thinking about you a lot since our last communication. Please write soon. Your loving father. P.S. Joachim said your mother was in Innsbrück? |
Here is a link for the
Marina Bay Sands. I would think there would be more images available. There are some, but maybe they are keeping it exclusive, or I just didn't do a great job of searching.

| ICELAND - Sofanisba to Anton |
 |
| Dear Daddy, I'm sorry. I was not shutting you out. Mother came to see me and since it's been a while I decided to follow her on her latest "quest". She met a group of spiritualists that were heading to the thermal springs of Iceland. We have been at Blue Lagoon for the last 2 days. It is quite beautiful, as if the water and sky were one and the same. Mother seems content right now. She feels she has found THE ANSWER . . . again. I may stay with her a bit longer. Ms. Simmons has surely returned to the States by now. Your Loving Daughter, Sofanisba |
great postcards..interesting storyine...
ReplyDeleteI totally love these! Black makes it extra special. :)
ReplyDeleteNIce way to capture the "Sands Hotel" in Singapore and Great way to do the Blue Lagoon- Don't you just love the color of the water???
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images on both cards, ans your story is so poignant. The child trying to keep a healthy balance between the adults in her life :D XXX
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the way you did the Sands Hotel! Very cool. The springs look so inviting. Makes me want to go and check it out.
ReplyDeletegreat sketch of the Sky Park, love that you did it on black . Fab layering on Iceland too.
ReplyDeleteNow that's weird, I know I commented on this yesterday but there's no sign of my comment. Maybe the Icelandic elves have taken it, they are cheeky like that! Both postcards are great and I particularly like the one for Iceland. It's very dramatic and I like the stamp on the front. Are the layers torn tissue paper?

ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous postcards. I love the layered look of Iceland.
ReplyDeleteI am visiting Jen and using her computer that is why this comment looks as though she has posted it.
